Loose change
If you don't have a designated jar for change, you probably have $30.00 to $50.00 dollars of loose change in or around the house in your pockets, purses and drawers or in your car. Some grocery stores have coin exchange machines and they charge a fee. Check with your credit union or bank to see if they have a coin machine at one of the branches for customer use, usually it is free. Be sure to look at the coins for old or valuable ones before exchanging. This money can be put away for special items or vacations.
